2026-1 Notice on the Credit Withdrawal

1. Eligibility

: Currently enrolled or on-leave students who have registered for 7 or more semesters and have earned 102 credits or more (106 credits or more for colleges/divisions or departments designated under Article 57, Paragraph 2 of the Academic Operations Regulations). (For transfer students, only those in their 4th year are eligible.)

: Students pursuing a Dual Degree, completed students (who have finished course requirements but not graduated), and students under graduation deferral are not eligible to apply.

2. Waivable Credits

: A maximum of 6 credits, and applications can be submitted only once before graduation (split applications, such as applying for 3 credits this semester and 3 credits next semester, are not permitted).

3. Eligible Courses for Withdrawal

: All completed courses for which credits were earned (including courses recognized through domestic/international exchange programs, excluding 'F' grades and courses currently in progress).

4. Application Period: May 6 (Wed) 10:00 – May 27, 2026 (Wed) 17:00

5. Application Method

: Apply directly by selecting the courses to withdraw via KUPID > Registration/Graduation > Grade Inquiries > Credit Withdrawal

Approval for the credit withdrawal will be processed sequentially according to each college's schedule after the application period ends.

If it has not been processed by the end of the semester, please contact the administration office of your respective college or the Academic Affairs Team (utilize the "Transcript of Courses Completed" menu on the portal).

It is difficult to cancel or change the credit withdrawal after submission, so please apply with caution.

[Mandatory Read] After clicking the 'Apply' button, you must verify on the next page that the "Submitted successfully" message appears (refer to the attached separate manual for details.)

If the message does not appear, log back into the KUPID ‘Credit Withdrawal’ menu and reapply.

(*If the application has been normally received, access to the menu itself will be restricted, so there is no possibility of duplicate applications.)

6. Important Notes (Precautions)

A. Mandatory courses within the curriculum, such as General Education Requirements, Major Requirements, and Teacher Training Requirements, cannot be withdrawn.

If you apply for a withdrawal for a mandatory course, it may be rejected during the review process. Additional applications or changes for the credit withdrawal due to this will not be permitted.

B. Withdrawn courses will be excluded from your earned credits, but the course name will remain on the transcript, and the grade will be marked as "W".

(In other words, the course name will NOT be deleted from the transcript; only the earned credits and the grade point will be removed.)

C. Courses currently being retaken this semester cannot be withdrawn, and courses that have been approved for a credit withdrawal cannot be retaken in the future.

D. Once an application for a credit withdrawal has been submitted, the application cannot be withdrawn or changed.

E. Credits earned through Internship/Field Practicum CANNOT be withdrawn.

F. Please note that if you delete a graduate school course taken through the Combined Bachelor's and Master's Degree Program, your acceptance into the program will be cancelled.

G. If an eligible course for the credit withdrawal is not displayed on the portal, please contact the administration office of your respective college.

H. Please apply for the credit withdrawal after thoroughly understanding this guideline and the attached FAQ. Changes due to erroneous applications and additional submissions after the deadline will not be permitted.
